At Jigsaw, we work with more victims of road traffic accidents on a regular basis than any other issue. When a person has experienced such trauma whether minor or major, the effects it can have on the body are endless, leading to psychological chaos and imbalance.
We work alongside an excellent Post Road Traffic Accident - Driver Rehabilitation and Retraining Course driving instruction team who are available to assist and encourage those that need to recapture their confidence on the road.
After a work accident - it can be quite normal for the person who has experienced it to be on high alert psychologically, constantly ruminating over the event again and again so that it takes up valuable thinking time - it is as if the mind has been temporarily taken over with no headspace for normal daily function. This can affect work performance and consequently lead to further disruption.
Personal assault and injury are fast becoming 'too normal' an everyday concern. Any kind of specific violence or attack, whether it be a stabbing, beating, mugging, or battering is an appalling spineless criminal act that reveals some of the sickest and most twisted behaviours one person can bestow upon another.

It is crucial for the safeguarding of clients when working with psychologically traumatised individuals that therapists have the correct training and continued professional development, which conveys credibility and accountability. Our excellent, welcoming and friendly administration team are available (Monday - Friday 8.30am - 6pm) to take calls and/or to arrange for direct contact with the Jigsaw management, counsellors and trauma specialists.
Calls after these times are confidentially logged in our answering system until the next working day.
Emergency Services Teams are constantly in the line of direct trauma based situations, especially Fire & Rescue Teams and Traffic Police who witness some of the most shocking scenes of wreckage and the aftermath of road traffic accidents. Paramedics, Ambulance Crews, CCTV Operators, Fire Service Operatives, and many more, all bear witness to some horrific situations.
Jigsaw work regularly with emergency services staffs who feel that they do not want to go through the usual work based Occupational Health channels of assistance. All information is completely confidential and an agreement is signed at the beginning of all work to validate our confidentiality pledge to you.
